Prior Experience:
During my time at SoftBank, 2018-2021, I had experience and involvement with a handful of projects (listed below) that involved applying social robotics within aged care. From this, I gained an understanding, from a technology vendor perspective, of some of the challenges and opportunities associated with deploying automated technologies within high-care needs environments.

Uniting Care Queensland and BlueCare:
In 2022, I managed a project that involved system design and change management associated with the implementation of new industrial reforms with one of Queensland's largest providers of care, UnitingCare Queensland. As part of the broader UCQ 2030 regeneration program, I consulted to a variety of projects that involved introducing new technologies and transitioning EOL products to new systems while formulating scaffolding and bridging approaches to change to ensure BAU and to maintain UCQ’s high standard of care.
The reform was from the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) to the Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC). Based on the new Aged Care Act, and the Second Amendment Bill Response to the 2018-2021 Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. These changes called for UCQ to become a real-time data-led organisation to facilitate greater accountability and transparency with regards to classification and usage of government funding. I successfully mitigated substantive financial and social risks associated with the delivery of aged care well before reform audit deadlines and empowered strategic decision making.
This project involved:
-
Townhalls, SME consultations, workshops, presentations, structured interviews, on-site observations and inspections with internal teams
-
Working with technology vendors and Government departments
-
SaaS Product integration, testing and delivery with Alayacare, Microsoft AX, and AWS.
UCQ ‘organisation on a page’ I created in FIGMA, to ideate and demonstrate phased approaches to proposed changes to system architecture, assets and resources.
